Lady Mildmay Apprenticing Charity The charity was established in 1912 to assist apprentices from Nassington with equipment and expenses 'to enable them to earn their own living'. Its terms were later widened to include students on apprenticeships, courses of Further or Higher Education or in full-time training leading to a vocational qualification. Guidance to applicants is published in the Newsletter each summer, and the closing date is 30 September. The charity has an income from dividends of between £120 and £140 a year. In 2010, in order to preserve funds for the long-term, the Trustees decided to cap the total annual expenditure at £300. If our income depended solely on the dividends we could not continue supporting our young people to this extent, but we have benefited from several donations from villagers and, thanks to their generosity, over the last ten years we have been able to make grants to thirty-six Nassington students to assist them in buying books and equipment. Should you wish to make a donation, do get in touch with Gill Rowe via mildmay@nassington.org.uk who will be very happy to advise you!
Nassington Pre-school - Registered Charity No: 1172148 The preschool is an Ofsted rated outstanding facility that offers a provision which is welcoming, friendly and provides a homely environment. This will in turn stimulate the interests and experiences and impact the learning of the child, by offering child led activities such as a self-choosing atmosphere within our indoor and outdoor space. The charges made to parents and income from government early years provision does not cover the costs of running the pre-school, so the provision relies on fund-raising and donations. nassingtonpreschool.com
